Re: Reaper & USB over XUF card
That's exactly what I did. I am feeding inputs 1 & 2 from aux 1 & 2 and I didn't get audio. So I tried it with a mic in input 3 and mapping that to Reaper, but it still didn't show any audio coming in. I get audio from the master on the desk so it's not a desk issue - well, I'm not including the XUF card in that statement yet.
Also checked the routing and they're all at default: 1-8, 9-16, 17-24, 25-32
The only other thing that bothers me is in all the screen shots and pictures I see XUF displayed on the desk main screen with a green light to show it's functioning but my desk only shows UF in that space, albeit with a green light.
I still think the card is faulty, but no way of knowing really.
Have you had a look at Routing->Card Out to make sure you've mapped your input groups to the 4 "Local" groups (Local 1-8, Local 9-16, etc). You can map any 32 you wish, and I thought the default was set up this way, but maybe not. Now, bear in mind, the audio MUST be coming from the head-amp on the channel, NOT something else you've mapped to that fader (such as an Aux input, etc for an MP3 player). I test by just plugging a mic into the channel, and gently tapping on the windscreen.
