I would really like that too Chris, it`s a feature that has to be implemented sooner or later. I normally don`t use graphic eq for my monitors/wedges, but old school people sure do. I guess we are both idiots 8O~8-O~
i don't see myself as oldschool but +1I would really like that too Chris, it`s a feature that has to be implemented sooner or later. I normally don`t use graphic eq for my monitors/wedges, but old school people sure do.
gain range is from -12db to +60dbIs there a gain pad somewhere ?
Who normalizes tracks? If I am getting raw tracks to mix I don't want someone else to pre determine levels for me. Probably the same people that defrag audio Harddrives.
Right I realize that. But again the point is to have each EQ on it's own assign button. That's what I would like.
Was this aimed at me directly? ID10T issues? Does that mean idoit?
maybe i'm not getting you right or joe and chris.
first of all - what do you wanna achieve?
do you wanna group channels (e.g drums) and send them to the stereo bus altogether or do you wanna create a stereo IEM/monitor mix?
cheers,
flo
I'd like to group channels, for example 4 toms or all metal elements of kit over two busses panning within, inserting un-linked compressors on the two busses set equally (I know this parts possible). I guess I'm just thinking in analogue terms, group to 1&2 and not the main mix and panning is a simple as 123.
link bus 1+2 - set them to subgroup - route channels to bus 1+2 - take them off LR - route bus 1+2 to LR - do the panning in the channels with the normal panner in the channelstrip or on the main-tab - untick dynamics link in the setup/global-tab.
cheers,
flo
Hi Rob,
I wanted to share a recent session myself and my friends over at Big Blue Meenie Recording recorded for fun to try out the X32.
The whole point of the session was to hear the MIDAS designed mic pre amps and the AD converters on the X32.
I am sure some others will chime in with their recording experiences, but I thought I would share mine as well.
Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.
Best,

I've posted some live recordings that I made with the X32:
Petty Thief by famepot on SoundCloud - Create, record and share your sounds for free
Isn't it Midnight - Second Hand Newz by famepot on SoundCloud - Create, record and share your sounds for free.
These were recorded from the X32 card USB connection to Reaper on my netbook. The tracks were mixed, playing back in Reaper on the netbook into the USB port on the card of the X32 and recorded 2 track to the USB recorder on the mixer. All processing was done with the X32 compressors, effects, etc. I only spent 15-20 minutes on each song, so these are a little rough.
Thought you might like to see the flightcase I just had made in the UK by Flightcase Warehouse. Excellent quality.
Wondered if I should have gone with this as opposed to having the Thomann one ship from Germany. For £180 it's adequate and handle positions are good but 7mm is too thin IMHO
